Announcing Gamers Gone Wild
by Lansing Board Gamers!

Update!!!

Gamers Gone Wild was a huge success! Over 60 gamers came out to play their favorite games! I want to thank all of you for coming. Specials thanks goes to our faithful and hardworking volunteers: Jessy, Josie, Bill and David. Without you all, and especially the volunteers, this would not have been possible. We were on the TV news, Fox 47 and NBC 10 both covered the story! On the NBC Channel Ten 11 o' clock news they had our game convention as a big story right after a commercial break. On the Fox 47 news, they were actually talking about Settlers of Catan commodities. I saw Jon Summers, Robert, April, Allison, Eric, Mike, and The Briggs Family on TV. They also got some closeup shots of Goa and our game library. Very nice... (No, I have not changed my name to Mike...)

Alan was the first year winner of the Ironman competition. I had my bets on Dick, but Alan walked in at 9AM on Saturday and I'm not sure he ever left. Nice job!

Bill Kellogg was the first year winner of the Texas Hold'em Tournament. Nice job!

I also wanted to thank those of you who made donations. It is very much appreciated.

Dragons vs. Unicorns: Dragons in a landslide victory.

Thanks also go to our prize support: 21st Century Comics & Games in East Lansing, Just 4 Fun Comics & Games in Frandor, Lansing, and Metro Detroit Gamers.

The game library was also very popular. Thanks to everyone who put games out for "sharing".

Where: Holiday Inn Conference Center, 2187 University Park Drive Okemos, MI 48864 From: I-96 exit 110, go North on Okemos Road, then after 1/4 mile, turn right on University Commerce Park - conference center and hotel is on your right. If you want to spend the night, there is a block of rooms available for $79-85 (regular price: $94.95) - just mention Lansing Board Gamers (or that you're at a conference this weekend).
